Eric spent his formative years in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. A product of the University of Southern California’s undergraduate film production program, his curiosity led him to Paramount Pictures’ (at the time) newly-founded Insurge division, where he learned of an (at the time) up-and-coming producer on the Paramount lot: Jason Blum.

Eric began working at Blum’s Blumhouse Productions, intent on finding a way to employ the micro-budget horror model for genre films in the independent space.

After being a part of eight feature films under Blum’s banner, Eric ventured out to produce independently. With the knowledge of turn high-concept low-budget films into massive box office successes, Fleischman raised private equity and began producing edgy, bold and unconventional genre films.

Eric has independently produced fifteen feature films in the past four years, including Sundance 2016’s Sleight, 2016 SXSW’s Carnage Park, and Tribeca 2017’s Flower.
