LAWRENCE SAMPSON
LUKE/Production Designer

Larry is a visual artist from Massachusetts whose work encompasses sculpture, story boarding, production design, and directing. He excels at cultivating mood through meticulously designed environments, be they concepts for shoots in miniature or full-scale feature-film sets. He has built large props and displays for clients ranging from Monster.com to the Museum of Science. Most recently, he has designed sets for numerous television commercials, and helped develop a distinctive look for two award-winning kids’ programs on WGBH, Fetch and Design Squad. In addition, he has worked as lead production designer on a handful of local feature films.

Larry has an extensive background in Production Design and Art Direction for Film and Television. He has worked as a set dresser on larger feature films like 2015’s The Judge and as Graphic Designer on Unfinished Business. Larry was the Production Designer for the critically acclaimed movies The Mulberry Tree and Turntable. Currently Larry is art directing Super Troopers 2, the sequel to Super Troopers, the 2001 cult classic.

Larry was not only the Production Designer for Chimera, but he also doubled up as an actor to play Luke.
